What is Canton Chiropractic & Physical Therapy?
Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy is dedicated to providing individual attention to every patient's needs. All too often patients feel they are just a number in their doctor's office, herded in and out of their appointment after a long wait and too little face time with the doctor they came to see. In the end, all they have to show for their time is a new prescription for more pills.
This is not going to fix the problem. Why not fix the problem itself instead of using medication just to treat the symptoms and cover up the real, underlying cause?
At Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, Dr. Randy Hallman, Dr. Eric Kaminsky and Dr. Michaela Holland follow each patient's care from start to finish. From your initial consultation to the final visit and every step in between. There are no longterm care contracts or hard sell tactics. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual.
The doctors will review your diagnoses, treatment options, and recommendations along with your insurance coverage prior to any treatment. Any fees will always be discussed up front. Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy is in-network with Johns Hopkins EHP and CareFirst/BCBS. Affordable, self-pay options are also available.

His post-doctoral training includes courses in neurophysiology and electrodiagnostics from Harvard medical school as well as Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Eric Kaminsky, Physical Therapist
Dr. Kaminsky received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at Towson University and his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In combination with manual techniques, he will create an individualized graded exercise and targeted strengthening program tailored to benefit the patient and their unique needs.
Additionally, Dr. Kaminsky is certified as a strength and conditioning specialist and attained his post-doctorate certifications in manual trigger point therapy. Dr. Michaela Holland, Physical Therapist
Dr. Holland received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley. During her time at Cal, she played four years of NCAA D1 lacrosse and coached youth club lacrosse in the Bay area. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. While completing her degree, Dr. Holland obtained valuable clinical experience completing rotations in both inpatient neurological rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedic settings. Upon graduation, she worked in outpatient orthopedics treating a variety of conditions and patient populations across the lifespan.
Dr. Holland was first introduced to physical therapy after suffering an ACL injury while playing lacrosse in high school. Her experience going through the rehab process allows her to effectively relate and connect with her patients. Dr. Holland believes in empowering her patients to take an active role in their recovery while tailoring treatment in order to meet individualized goals and allow them to return to the activities they love. She enjoys treating people from all backgrounds and levels with a special interest in athletes, CrossFitters, and weekend warriors. Dr. Holland is a Hampden resident and outside of the clinic she enjoys exploring local restaurants, strength training, snowboarding and weekend getaways to the beach.
Insurance
Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy accepts Johns Hopkins EHP and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield insurance plans. These plans, and most other healthcare insurance plans, have basic requirements which some people are not familiar with.
If you have Johns Hopkins EHP insurance and you would like to know what your out-of-pocket costs will be (deductible and co-insurance), Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy is happy to check on your EHP coverage details at no cost. Just send us an email through the contact form and we'll let you know what information we need.
If you're interested in the differences between a deductible, co-pay or a co-insurance, we've provided a short summary below.
Deductible
The deductible represents a dollar amount that a patient has to pay out-of-pocket first before their insurance company will start paying for any care. For example, if you have a Johns Hopkins EHP plan with a $250 annual deductible you will have to pay for the first $250 worth of healthcare each year before Johns Hopkins EHP will begin paying for your healthcare bills. Once the deductible bas been met, i.e. you have paid $250 out-of-pocket for healthcare, Johns Hopkins EHP will begin paying for the majority of each visit's cost but a portion will still have to be paid by the patient. This portion is called a co-insurance or a co-pay. They sound similar but are actually quite different.
Co-Insurance
This type of visit fee is often seen with Johns Hopkins EHP plans. Unlike the flat fee co-pay, a co-insurance is a percentage of the fees paid by EHP. In the case of most EHP plans, the co-insurance is 20% which means EHP will cover 80% of the fees for each visit but the remaining balance must be paid by the patient. For example, a visit to your chiropractor's office for low back pain may cost $100 so EHP will pay $80 and the patient will be left with the balance of $20. If the next visit involves more therapy to multiple areas (neck, low back, and shoulder), that visit might cost $150. EHP will pay $120 and the patient will be left with the balance of $30.
Co-Pay
This type of visit fee is more common and is often seen with Carefirst BCBS plans. A co-pay is a flat fee which is paid at each visit (often between $10 and $50) and is not tied to the type of services or treatment received in the office.
Don't forget, if you want to know the specific coverage details for your Johns Hopkins EHP insurance, feel free to email us and we'll let you know what we need to get that information for you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to schedule an appointment?
Yes. Please fill in your information via the Contact Us form and Dr. Hallman will reply to your message ASAP, often within a few hours. Canton Chiropractic and Physical Therapy prides itself on running on-time appointments and because all appointments are one on one, Dr. Hallman is not able to accommodate walk-ins.
How long until I start feeling the results?
Obviously the answer to this question will vary for each individual and with each condition. However, because Dr. Hallman uses hands-on treatments coupled with advanced techniques for identifying myofascial and postural conditions, many patients notice relief after just a few visits.
How much does it cost?
We are in-network with EHP (Johns Hopkins) and Carefirst/BCBS plans so the fees you will have to pay are set according to the individual plan you have. If you have EHP, we are happy to check your plan for coverage details and verify what your out of pocket costs will be. Just fill out the Contact Us form and we’ll get back to you with exactly what information is needed to verify the coverage. Also, we offer affordable self-pay options for patients without insurance. These rates vary based on how long your treatment sessions are.
Does health insurance cover the cost of treatment?
Absolutely. While specific coverage details will vary from one plan to another, all EHP plans cover chiropractic and physical therapy and most Carefirst/BCBS plans do as well.
